sunscreen and bug repellent?

my daughter will be 6 months on the 16th, and we are going to go to the lake tomorrow, around 6-7pm so it wont be so hot. any ways i got some sunscreen, the wal-mart i went to didnt have the huggies brand, the brand i got it called baby faces by hawaiian tropic, SPF 60+. and the bug spray, well lotion, is by sawyer, called family. and it has low DEET absorption. sorry one more ?. on the 4th my little girl got ate up my sketers. and i got some stuff called afterbite for kids. were going to the dr on the 10th and im going to ask her dr, but i wanted to know what all you other mommy’s thought. thanks a bunch. and no i havent put any on her and im not going to till we go to the dr.
and i think that it is dumb to keep a baby inside till there 1. that means you have to stay in to. could you imagin, staying inside for a whole year. i cant even go one day with out going outside.

To avoid the sunscreen problem, you could dress your little one in long sleeved shirts (light weight cotton), a hat, and pants.

I’d avoid bug spray at all costs. I hate to even put the stuff on my own body, let alone my baby’s. Try burning citronella candles and have a fan blowing on you and the baby.
